New for 2012
Our new distance learning BA(Hons) Journalism (online) gives students who can't, or don't want to, move to Falmouth the opportunity to study on one of our most prestigious courses without having to leave home. Journalism at Falmouth is a highly respected programme and graduates from our undergraduate and postgraduate courses include leading journalists such as Hugh Pym, Angus Walker, Luisa Baldini, Joe Barnes and many others.
We've designed the course so that it prepares students for the world of international journalism, enabling you to work anywhere in the world. The course embraces the traditional aspects of journalism as well as modern developments such as social media. You can choose whether to study full-time or part-time, or to take single modules as part of your continuing professional development.
This course starts in October 2012 so don't delay, apply today. You can also visit your.falmouth.ac.uk/onlinejournalism to see some case studies of successful graduates, and to access other interactive content relating to this course.
From October 2012, we will be offering a number of other exciting new courses. The distance learning BA(Hons) Communication Design will bring our award-winning Graphic Design course to online students. We've developed a world class online studio for students to use, so that your learning experience rivals that of our on campus students.
The BA(Hons) Creative Computing is ideal for students who want to use computers and digital technologies to be creative. You'll learn practical skills and creative techniques in parallel, so that you have the technical ability to deliver whatever your imagination can dream up. Designing robots, computer games and mobile phone apps are just some of the exciting things you can do on this course.
For postgraduates, we are launching two new qualifications. The MBA Creative Leadership will equip creative entrepreneurs and managers with the business and leadership skills to further their career, and to help their organisation flourish in the fast-growing creative industries sector. We have several high profile creative leaders on our advisory board, including Sir John Sorrell, UKTI Business Ambassador for the Creative Industries, John Simmons, former Director of Verbal Identity at Interbrand, and David Kester. The course will be delivered by a ‘flying faculty' drawn from some of the leading business schools in the UK and beyond.
The Masters in Fine Art (MFA) is a supervisory degree that enables experienced practitioners in any of Falmouth's subject specialisms to engage in critical discourse with our highly respected academics, to sharpen their creative practice and define their own artistic identity. The MFA is a higher qualification than a conventional MA, meaning it has a great deal of prestige and is a great way of advancing any creative career.
